Laugh out loud funny all the way through. This one convinced me to switch my free Substack subscription to paid. You're welcome.

Thrilling. Just plain thrilling to get to read and laugh at your stuff again and never has a subscription been more worthwhile. PS: unless you shop at an acoustics lab, those white noise machines don't actually produce white noise. So if you just call them noise machines, you will be both accurate and freed from one persistent 3am worry. You're welcome. It's the least I could do in exchange for the laughs.

Today has been a trying one.

I circled back to Ron's Substack to read it again, to end my day with laughter!

Thank you!

Way to go, Ron! It's good to know there's still something worth reading, given that our subdued and not-always-exciting city on the hills (Sehome and Samish) now has two local papers that have lost their luster (one quite recently; to which I've cancelled my subscription). Your rant on time was timeless. The only point on which I disagree is your support for year-round Daylight Saving Time. That was tried once before. Were you in the Puget Sound region in early 1975? A man named Dick Nixon was in the White House. You were likely too young to notice (you didn't miss much). Darkness at noon? Not quite. But a little exaggeration can make a point.

Keep the rants coming!

Some sleep disorder experts claim that poor sleep hygiene can contribute to cognitive decline, while others say the research is inconsistent.

This study says taxi and ambulance drivers are less likely to die from Alzheimer's:

Hmmm...I wonder if the taxi and ambulance drivers sleep well??

Fun read, Ron!!! You cover the waterfront!
